Textiles Technology - Cat Plush

For the past term, we've been working on our choice of product. I chose to make a small cat plush. It's just a bit bigger than my hand. Other people have made bigger stuffed animals, clothing, etc. I have completed my plush and now I'm documenting it on my blog. So here we go;

This was when I first cut out the material and began to sew it together (I sewed everything- and I mean everything, by hand).

So this is when I had sewn half of the body and attached the ears. I just had to sew the side, the tail and bottom on.

And this is right before I finished. I had sewn everything together and all I needed to do was stuff it, fix the plastic on the bottom (to support the inside so the bottom was flat and it could stand) and then sew the bottom on.

And this is the finishing product! The bottom does look a bit off and I think it just had to do with the angle I took the picture and the plastic inside because it was a little crooked but I straightened it now so it's fixed.

I'm finished! It took a few weeks but it was worth the wait I guess. It looks pretty cute, you gotta admit. I decided to make it look like my cat. Her name is Oreo and she is black and white (like the Oreo biscuit... black and white) with green eyes, pink ears and a pink nose.

So yeah! All done.
