Safety Gear
For this blog post, I'm going to talk about the different types of safety gear. From overalls to eye protection, to ear protection, to head protection, to foot protection. In the following, I will be describing and explaining the purpose of different gear;
Bib Overalls:
|
This type of overall covers the body except for the arms and part of the
shoulders. |
Complete Overall:
|
This type of overall covers the whole body except the head, hands,
and feet. |
Welding Gloves:
|
These gloves cover the hands while you’re welding. They are quite
thick so you are able to handle hot materials. But just be careful and hold the hot object firmly otherwise it may slip through your grip. |
Safety Glasses:
|
These glasses are a plastic cover for your eyes. They protect them
from any debris or other kinds of danger from flicking up into your eyes. |
Respirator:
|
This mask helps you breathe without inhaling any toxic fumes. It is worn when
you are around a toxic area, when you’re welding, and when you’re
painting (mostly with spray paint). It filters the air we breathe in.
|
Steel-Toed Boots
|
These kind of boots are very useful when you’re around heavy objects.
They protect your toes from possibly being crushed. |
Banded Earmuff:
|
These earmuffs are the best. They let you wear glasses with them
and they also protect your ears from loud noises. |
This is only some safety gear, there are a lot more things you can use to protect yourself. Remember to always wear safety gear when you are around toxic or dangerous areas.
