10 Worst Countries Using Child Soldiers - Social Studies - 2019 Semester 1 Term 1
10 Worst Countries Using Child Soldiers
In Social Studies we've been learning about Child Soldiers. I made a map on the main, worst countries of the world using child soldiers.
Social Studies - SEEL Paragraph - Child Soldiers
SEEL Paragraph
Lately, in Social Studies, we've been learning about child soldiers. All across the world children are recruited into armed groups. They are used as human shields, suicide bombers, guards at checkpoints and more. Because they are so young, they can be manipulated into joining the armed forces so easily because they fool them into believing inaccurate facts. They take away their rights and freedom and use them to do their bidding. Children die all of the time in battle. Which is so sad because they barely got a chance to live their life. Some children join the group by choice to get revenge on people who killed their families. Girls are used for sexual entertainment and are raped all of the time. Sexual abuse, arranged marriages and other things are also included. It's illegal to do these things, it's against the law. Children are not supposed to be involved in war. Every human on this earth deserves to have Human Rights and child soldiers and slaves do not have these rights.

Cloning - Science 2019 Term 1
Cloning
In Science, we're learning about cloning. We had to answer some questions and give our opinion on them.
Cloning endangered animals:
I neither disagree or agree. It could be a good thing to bring them back, but it could also cause complications and the situation might get even worse. It could also be very dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands.
Cloning plants & animals:
Apparently, if we replicate plants or animals we need a lot of/from, we could get more wheat, more wool from sheep, more milk from cows, more meat from animals. If we replicate these things we could make sure they produce more product than normal. This could even end world hunger. Now that I agree with. World hunger is a problem getting worse and worse, I don't strongly agree because, again, it could cause huge complications, but then again... we could clone these different things and everyone in the world could have full meals three times a day. Now, this would be awesome.
Cloning an only child dying from a disease:
I don't disagree or agree. I guess it would be pretty great for the parents, but then the child won't truly be the same. They can replace the child, but they can't exactly replace every memory shared with together, they would have to redo everything they ever did with the child to raise the next one the same. And that is almost impossible. So I don't disagree or agree because I'd have to have a child to understand how to feel.
Cloning to staff our armies:
Apparently, if the parents to the clones are anonymous donors, it wouldn't matter much if the clone died in battle because they wouldn't really have parents. Compared to losing a real soldier with parents, this wouldn't matter. I strongly disagree. Just because they're clones, doesn't mean they aren't human. That would be so wrong to let them die in battle and not care. They have parents, they're just anonymous and will probably never meet each other. They're not robots. In a lot of ways, they're human.
Cloning to harvest human organs:
People die all the time because they had to wait for a specific organ to save their life. If we could create clones, we could harvest organs for others. NO. I disagree. They are still human! You can't just take an important organ from the clone and kill them to give it to someone else. They're clones, an exact replica of us. We have emotions, so do they. Sure, I might think twice if it were one of my loved ones. I might want the clone to give up the organ. But they're not robots, they have feelings. They are real beings.
Cloning to bring back famous deceased people:
I disagree. I think we should let the people rest in peace, they lived their life, whether it was a good or bad one, they lived it. I for one wouldn't one to die and find out (somehow 🤔) that someone was impersonating me and living my second life.
(All of these were just my opinion, different people may have a different view on things)
